Most Hotels described here offer the usual amenities like rooms with attached bath, running hot & cold water, telephone , restaurants and bars, air-conditioning (cooling in the summer and heating in the winter ), laundry and dry cleaning services, luggage storage, safe deposit boxes and all communication services.
At all the Hotels, regardless of size or star rating, the tax structure is the same. First you add 10 percent to the payable amount as Government Tax Service. This is the amount that goes to fund the Hotel Workers Union then you add 13 percent VAT on the total amount plus Government Tax, totalling 23 percent.
Since there are plenty of restaurants in Kathmandu and Pokhara it is not necessary nor desirable to book Hotels on full board. Bed and breakfast should suffice in most of the hotels. Please let us know your preferred meal plan while making a booking with us. |
