Yala is a “trekking peak" in the Langtang Region of Nepal. It is classified as an easy trekking peak according to the Alpine Grading system. The summit gives surprisingly good views of Shishapangma (8027m), Langtang Lirung (7246m) and Dorje Lakpa (6990m) if you are lucky enough with the weather. The route involves a base camp at the end of the trail and a high camp a further half-day trek beyond the base. The climb to Yala peak is non-technical. Prior climbing experience is not required, however some outdoor experience and an average level of physical fitness is a must.
