This region is best known for the most obvious reason – the tallest, grandest mountain the world has on its surface calls it home. However, it is also home to the famous Sherpa people and the mysterious Yeti. This trek includes not only the Everest Base Camp but also Namche Bazaar, Lukla, Tyangboche and the whole of Solukhumbu, all of which lie in the shadow of the great mountain as well as that of Mount Amadablam. The trek to the Khumbu area is not only interesting as far as its outdoor virtues are concerned, but from a view to study the Sherpa culture as well.
